Keep track of equipment wherever the job takes it

See where your machinery, trailers and equipment were last reported in one central platform. Vatio asset tracking helps you keep a clear view of valuable assets across yards, sites and remote locations.

Benefits

Clear control of your equipment

When equipment moves between sites, it's easy to lose track of what's available and where it was left. Vatio brings asset location information together so you can find equipment and make more informed deployment decisions.

  • Locate equipment without calling around

Check reported asset locations before chasing site teams or making a trip to the yard.

  • Make more informed use of what you have

Review where equipment is deployed to help plan its next move before hiring or buying more.

  • Spot unexpected movement

Use movement and boundary alerts to help identify activity that needs checking.

  • Track assets without a vehicle power supply

A battery-powered device gives you an easy way to monitor trailers, containers and equipment that have no built-in power source.

Features

Tracking built for your equipment

  1. Step 1:

    Check location updates

View the latest reported position of an asset in the Vatio platform. Update patterns depend on the tracker's operating mode, so you can choose a setup suited to how the asset is used.

  2. Step 2:

    Monitor movement

Use a movement-based mode to receive updates when an asset starts or stops moving. Help your team recognise unexpected activity and check what has happened.

  3. Step 3:

Create boundaries around sites and yards

Set virtual boundaries around important locations and receive alerts when reported movement takes an asset outside a selected area.

  4. Step 4:

Preserve power while equipment is stationary

Low-power sleep helps conserve battery life between activity or scheduled updates, making it useful for equipment that may spend long periods in one place.

FAQs

Asset tracking questions

Can I track equipment without a power supply?
Yes. Neon-s uses its own batteries, so it can monitor suitable assets without drawing power from the equipment itself.
How often does the tracker update?
Neon-s offers scheduled and movement-based reporting: four location reports a day, or a report when a trip starts and stops while the asset is moving. Updates also depend on available connectivity. Neon-s is not a live tracker. We can help you choose the right approach for your assets.
Can I replace the batteries?
Yes. Neon-s uses two replaceable AA batteries. Follow the device guidance when replacing them to keep the unit correctly sealed and working as intended.
Will an asset tracker stop equipment being stolen?
Tracking provides location information and alerts that can support your response to unexpected movement. It does not physically prevent theft or guarantee that an asset will be recovered.
